"Right to Play" - an Organization That Creates a Safe and Positive Environment for Children

On 31 , Jan 2023 | In | By Alisa Maier

The “Right to Play” organization is committed to sustainable change in four different areas of impact: Educational Quality, Gender Equity, Health and Child Protection.

To awaken the children's joy of learning and enable a positive association with school, playful methods are used to invite active participation in the classroom. Through playful learning, teachers can build trust with the children, increase their self-confidence, and expand their knowledge and skills.

"Right to play" also uses play and sport to give girls a voice to demand justice, education, dignity and safety. In addition, the approach also reaches out to boys and men to fundamentally change their values and beliefs, as well as their attitudes towards the role of girls and women.

It also provides information about healthy lifestyles and behaviors in a playful way so that youth can make safe and healthy choices to protect themselves and their families.

In addition, the organization creates a safe environment in which children can learn and develop. "Right to play" helps children to understand and claim their rights in order to protect them from violence, discrimination and exploitation.

They focus on different forms of play such as games, sports, creative play, and free play. Play-based learning supports the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. "Right to play" now reaches 1.52 million children in 15 countries, including Africa, Asia, Canada and the Middle East.

Together with our sister company TechProtect, we would like to make a contribution and have decided to forgo gifts and Christmas cards this year and instead donate our collected amount from the "Miles for Smiles" team event to "Right to play" and support them in their mission to provide vital knowledge and skills to deprived children - according to their motto: Protect. Educate. Empower.
