The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) on May 11, 2022 resulted in the newest version (6.22) of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT), which is replacing the older version 6.1. The following changes have been made:
The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), which was founded in 2008, has published the CMRT as an industry-standard reporting template to encourage companies to source minerals responsibly and to help them being transparent in disclosing smelter information in their supply chain.
The Dodd-Frank Act, the EU Regulation 2017/821, or the European Union Non-Financial Reporting Directive and other conflict minerals laws recommend to report the 3TGs (tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold) via the CMRT.
