As early as 1 January 2021, products imported into Saudi Arabia have to be registered through the online platform SABER. The new requirement applies to products that are not regulated by any technical regulation in Saudi Arabia.

In the past, imported products had to be registered, as well – the new element now is the registration via the online platform SABER. Failure to complete the online registration and obtaining the appropriate certificate may lead to difficulties in customs clearance.
