However, as of 1 May 2023, all smaller companies that place packaging on the market will also have to comply with the obligations under the current national packaging law, including the obligation to take back, collect and recycle the packaging. The new obligation was introduced by Law No. 261 of 7 March 2023, amending the Packaging Law.
